A Study was carried out on spawning season, feeding and some environmental conditions of 8 aquatic species of Hormozgan sea waters from Oct. 91 to Mar. 93. The results showed that spawning peak for otolithes ruber, Psettodes erumei, Pomadasys kaakan, Arius thalassinus and Arius tenuispinis occured in spring, for Pampus argenteus and Parastromateus niger occurred in summer, and for Sopia pharaonis occurred in Autumn. Two summer spawner and two Arius species were appeared Lo he very gluttonous and other spring spawner species showed rather less tendency for feeding P.argenteus appeared to eat copepod and rhizosolenia and P.niger stomach contents included nematod and annelid worms and also copepod, P.erumei feeds on small fishes and others eat crustaceae and small fishes too. High growth coefficients for P.argenteas and A.renuispinnis a medium growth coefficient for P.niger and low growth coefficients for other species were obtained. Except for S.pharaonis, geographical distribution .....

This study was performed in Neka Power Plant during one year and started in March 1991, to survey on the effect of Neka Power Plant on the environment and the possibility of fish Farming by use of outlet water. For this purpose the water sampling has been done each month for chemical analysis. The primary sampling and survey showed that the outlet water contained human and industrial Sewages. The difference between water temperature in outlet water and the Caspian Sea was 1OºC and the amount of free chloride in outlet water varied between 0 and 6.8 mg/lit and 300 kg ferros sulphate was daily injected into water per unit or Power Plant. The plankton and bentos organism were identified at the determined stations, which their abundance is different from other spots of the sea. The mortality ratio of fishes were estimated which was caused by chloride injection into water, the difference in water temperature and pressure increasing. The average fish mortality was estimated 96 units, in one.....

Because of the importance of Karoon river and its potential in fisheries, the project was carried out during one year period from march 1992 to march 1993. Physico-chemical and biological parameters were studied. We tried to collect general information about the ecosystem, aquatic organisms, physical and chemical changes, variation of living organisms in the superficial layer and bottom of the river. The study was carried out in a part of Karoon river (Gotevand to Band-e-Ghir) in which it is divided into two branches Shoteit and Gargar. This study was carried out in the land area of 205 km. Physico-chemical factors of water were: average annual transparency 20.43 cm, water temp. 21.7ºC, dissolved oxygen 9.29 mg/lit, pH 8.17 and salinity 0.404 ppt. The river hasn't any NH3, SH2 and CO2 gases, The highest frequency of phytoplankton has been observed in mid-summer and early autumn, and among them Bacillariophyceae being dominant. In general, amount of zooplanktons were lower than phyto.....

This research is performed to determine the distribution of different species of sharks in the southern water or the country. According to figures and statistical evidences, the dominant species of sharks existing in Bushehr province waters, is Carcharhinus dussumieri which consists of total shark catch by 55%, and this amount is increased in greatly deep areas. The next dominant species is Chiloscyllium arabicum in this area. Regarding the results, it seems that in the Hormozgan province waters, the abundance of Carcharhinus dussumieri is more, within the east Of Hormoz Strait to Charak Port, especially around Bandar Lengeh and its outskirts, which consists of large area and also in the western north of this area (Gavbandi), which makes up the number and weight of shark catch by 52% and 57%, respectively, through Bottom trawl method. There are other shark species which are in terms of abundance and being dominant as follows: Chiloscyllium arabicum, Rhizoprionodon acutus, Carcharhinu.....

This paper described hybrid between two species of Salmonidae Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) & Caspian salmon (Salmo trutta caspius). Caspian salmon is a native fish in the Caspian Sea which migrate for spawning to the Mazandaran Rivers in the northern part of Iran during the autumn. Annually some broodstock of this type of fish are caught from the rivers and carried to fish farm in order to produce smolts. Then released them to the rivers to preserve stock Rainbow trout is also used for intensive culture in Iran since we would like to have inherit intermediate of these species. After selection of broodstock and fertilization we assayed many factors such as: Feeding, growth, systematic, cytogenetic, internal organs, tolerance to deficiency of oxygen and high temperature. In addition, we also compared with control. The result showed that the hybrid is intermediate between parental, and suitable for intensive culture......
