		<Abstract>In this research, the role of high temperature (up to 32ºC), water turbidity, fish crowdedness and oxygen deficiency on the occurence of in vitro infection due to Aeromonas hydrophila in cultured carp (common carp &amp; silver carp) was examined. The fish with the weight 400 - 500 gr were kept in 60 liter aquariums and were bathed with 109 pathogenic Aeromonas hydrophila for one week. Then separate groups (with population of 10 for each) in separate aquariums were exposed to different stress conditions for 2 weeks. Diseased fish that showed skin hemorrhage and abnormal swimming were collected and their kidney tissues cultured on common bacteriology media. The obtained results showed that all the mortality were due to high temperature and no mortality was occured in water turbidity and crowdedness conditions. Isolation of Aeromonas hydrophila was only from the high temperature stress group. 		<Abstract>The toxicity of the pesticides, Malathion and Diazinon, and the herbicides, Machete and Saturn, on mortality of fingerling of Rutilus frisii kutum were examined. Lc10 values for Diazinon, Malathion, Machete and Saturn were 0.14 - 0.24, 0.10 - 0.35, 0.14 - 0.55, and 1.45 - 2.50 mg/L respectively. The result showed that Diazinon, Malathion and Machete have a highly toxic effect on fingerling of R. frisii kutum and the herbicide, Saturn, in comparison with other poisons was less toxic......</Abstract>

		<Abstract>In this study experiments were conducted to evaluate Clostridium botulinum type E in fresh and smoked Cyprinus carpio (60 samples) Rutilus frisii kutum (60 samples) and Hypophthalmichthys molitrix (60 samples). One hundred and eighty samples of fish were collected from different smoking plants, beach sein and breeding center in Mazandaran province, were sorted in order to quality and kind of fish. Two methods (Toxicology and Bacteriology) were used for recognition of toxin and bacterium C. botulinum type E. Bacterium was identified using cooked meat broth, egg yolk agar and biochemical tests. Toxin was recognized using antitoxin type E. The results indicated that 7 (3.8%), 4 (2.2%) and 2 (1.1%) samples of fresh and smoked Cyprinus carpio, Rutilus frisii kutum and Hypophthalmichthys molitrix were contaminated to C. botulinum type E respectively, (10 samples of smoked fish, 3 samples of fresh fish in total). 		<Abstract>Some investigation were performed on the industrial fisheries of tuna in Oman Sea in 1996. The result showed that the total fisheries of Spanish purse seiners, Montelape &amp; Montealegre, were more than 8907 tons; yellow fin tuna (91%) and longtail tuna (9%) from March to September 1996. Their activity was in the Indian Ocean from September 1996 to March 1997. Using Jahadpozm longliner, 204 tons of tuna including yellow fin tuna (99.2%) and swordfish (&lt; 1%) were fished in Oman Sea during a 9 month period in the years 1995 &amp; 1996. The CPUE of these purse seiners were 40 tons per fishing day which was noticeable in comparison with 21 tons of purse seiners in the Indian Ocean and indicated the richness of EEZ of Oman Sea. Longtail tuna mostly were fished by Spanish vessels in western regions of 600 longitude and yellow fin tuna were caught from 57º to 62º longitudes in Oman Sea. 		<Abstract>Daphnia magna was exposed to the concentration 1/4 , 1/2 and 2/3 LC50 and LC50 of 6 anionic detergents to determine the effect of these detergents on filtration and ingestion rates. Two dish washing liquid in terms of active ingredient as linear alkyl benzene sulfonate each 17% but one with DE ethanolamine (5%) and lauric acid ethanolamid (2%) as its component part, including washing machine powder, two kind washing powders and a shampoo, which the last four active ingredients content were 10%, 19%, 20 - 22%, 12% respectively exposed to the test organism. The experiments were performed with unicellular algae Chlorella vulgaris in a density of 10 mg/l as a feed to Daphnia magna. Relatively simple short term bioassay methods were developed to measure the filtration and ingestion (5 hours) rate. The effective concentration at which feeding and ingestion rates were reduced to 50% of those in controls (LC50) was calculated for six detergents. 		<Abstract>Golden snapper is one of the valuable fishes of the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea. To determine the age and growth parameters a research study was conducted in Hormozgan waters from May 1996 to July 1997. Samples (the total amount was 613) were collected on a monthly basis. The age determination of 597 fish were performed using apparent growth rings (dark and light layers) on the otoliths. Growth layers of urohyal bone were used for age determination in some samples. Growth parameters were calculated according to the Von Bertalanffy formula. The Von Bertalanffy growth equation for this species was as TL= 122(1-e (-0.128(t+1.29)). The Lee equation, based on urohyal bone readings, was calculated as TL=-3.718[LC+3.718)(Oi/OR)]. Back calculation was performed to determine the length on the basis of Lee formula in the urohyal and the mean length of the age groups of 1-8 years was obtained. 		<Abstract>The study was conducted in Anzali Lagoon (37 ̊ 28 N , 45 ̊ 25 E) in 38 stations during April 1994 to March 1996. In this study 13 biogroups were separated and counted. The abundance of most biogroups was very low, while that of the groups Chironomidae and Tubificidae were high and the abundance of the biogroup Amphipoda, Culicidae and Ephemeroptera was lower than the mentioned groups. Tubificidae was seen in all stations and all months of the year and its maximum density was 3740 organisms in each square meter. After Tubificidae the Chironomidae family had the second level of density. The total percentage of the organic substances of the bottom had not considerable changes in different month and its mean amount differed from 2.57% in the site of breakwater and the sea to 27.1% (maximum) in central portion of the lagoon. 		<Abstract>This is the first report of Diplopstomiasis among rainbow trout in Iran. In June 1997 Diplopstomiasis occurred within rainbow trout farm in west Azarbayjan province. Diagnosis was Diplostomum spathaceum. This farm has the sedimentation pound. 56 species fingerling with average body weight 4.4 gr examined. Maximum and minimum metacercaria counting revealed one to five pieces respectively. In autopsies of 7 cultured fishes with average body weight 29.2 gr maximum metacercaria counting was 25 and minimum was 1 metacercaria in each eye. 8 breeder with average body weight 572.8 gr examined and infestation was 100 percent. The Lymnaeidae snails near sedimentation pound autopsies and larval stage of parasite did not exist......</Abstract>
