In this study the seasonal differences in flesh weight of edible oyster Saccostrea cucullata collected from Bandar Muallem (Northern coast of the Persian Gulf, Bandar Lengeh) were studied from June 1994 to June 1995 (n= 604 individuals). The regression analysis indicated that there is high correlation between mean oyster height (Dorso-Ventral Measurment = DVM) and the flesh weight (r = 0.95). There is also a logaritmic relationship between mean flesh weight and gonadal size of these oysters (r = 0.75). Mean flesh weight of the oysters in spring and summer were higher than in autumn and winter. The canning and the suitable harvest season are also discussed in this paper......
